Gender medicine has a pivotal role both in dermatologic and rheumatic diseases, in which females are often predominantly involved. Moreover, the multidisciplinary approach used in modern medicine has created fruitful collaborations between Specialists. In this perspective, the link between Dermatologists and Rheumatologists has led to better control of immune-mediated diseases, resulting into an effective benefit for the patient. This event aims to highlight and consolidate the need for synchronous collaboration between dermatologists and rheumatologists, with a view to personalized medicine that considers sex and gender as a driver of choice.
