Dear colleagues,

As Chairperson of the 14th EADV Spring Symposium and on behalf of the local organising committee, I am very pleased to invite you to the city of Brussels, Belgium, the city that will host this meeting from 25 to 28 May, 2017.

The Symposium programme will be characterised by a selection of relevant topics based on local expertise and interest. Dedicated tracks will focus on clinicopathological correlation, contact allergy and occupational dermatology, skin diseases and systemic inflammation, dermato-oncology, as well as dermatosurgery. As in the past, the event will be spread over 3 days (Thursday to Saturday) with 4 tracks of Review and Updates aimed towards Board-Certified Dermato-Venereologists, stimulating Plenary Lectures for all to attend, thought-provoking Free Communications sessions highlighting the latest research and findings, and a single track dedicated to juniors and residents.

Hosted in a state-of-the-art facility, the Square meeting centre is located in the heart of the city and offers panoramic views of the local surroundings. This spacious, modern conference venue is well-suited to this size of event and will offer an unforgettable experience and something for everyone to enjoy.

Belgium is an intriguing country and kingdom, and its capital Brussels is also the capital of Europe. This cosmopolitan city that loves good food, lives life its way and expresses itself in a style very much of its own: sometimes rebellious and mischievous, sometimes thoughtful and composed, but always very likeable. Not just because it's the capital of 500 million Europeans and political decisions are made here, but also because Brussels offers you an exciting cultural, artistic and social scene...at sensible prices.

All in a city with historical beauty and a multicultural soul. No wonder Brussels is the number one destination for congresses in Europe: access and hosting are excellent. Despite its European dimension and regardless of all the different languages spoken on the corners of every street, Brussels is still inspired by a very "village-like" spirit. Of course, it's also well known for its Grand-Place, the Atomium, Manneken-Pis, Gueuze and Kriek, its waffles and last but by no means least, its chocolates (do not miss them!).*

Let Brussels be your home for a few days and enjoy the high level clinical and scientific programme of this Spring Symposium that we sincerely intend to bring you, in an inspiring environment.

I look forward to meeting you soon!

Prof. Jo Lambert

Chairperson
