2nd International Conference on UV and Skin Cancer Prevention

Dear Colleagues and Friends,

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the whole world. The incidence of both non-melanoma and melanoma skin cancers has been increasing over the past decades. Currently, between 2 and 3 million non-melanoma skin cancers and 132,000 melanoma skin cancers occur globally each year.

The 2nd International Conference on UV and Skin Cancer Prevention will be held on 10 to 13 September 2013 in Berlin. The aim of this conference is to learn and share knowledge on what can be done to prevent skin cancer. Leading figures in the world of UV and skin cancer prevention will come to Berlin to speak to public health professionals, communication professionals, researchers, decision makers and other professionals working with UV and skin cancer prevention.

Which impact has UV on skin damages, what are effective prevention strategies and who developed successful campaigns against skin cancer? These and much more topics will be in the focus of the conference.

The conference will also provide short lectures in addition to selected abstracts. During guided poster walks and several workshops we hope you will use this opportunity to discuss and to network with other professionals in order to leave the conference with new contacts, ideas and inspiration.

We hope that this conference will continue the exciting discussions that started in Copenhagen during the 1st International Conference on UV and Skin Cancer Prevention in 2011.
