"Italian Excellence: looking forward to having you in Milan in 2019 for the 24th World Congress of Dermatology"

This session will "bring you to Italy" to meet leading experts in clinical dermatology, dermoscopy and histopathology, who will share their expertise in addition to the evidence based practice of Dermatology.

The session is focused on the discussion of special topics, including acne and hair and nail disorders that are directed toward the practicing dermatologist. Key discussion topics also include the role of dermoscopy and reflectance confocal microscopy in diagnosis of pigmented and inflammatory skin lesions. In addition, unique clinical considerations will be reviewed including management of skin wounds, classification and diagnosis of cutaneous vasculitis, and update on new therapies for psoriasis, actinic keratoses and basal cell carcinoma.

The importance of histopathology in dermatological diagnosis and common mistakes in dermatopathology due to "disease mimickers" will be presented, providing clues to prevent common pitfalls.

Presentations will highlight new and contemporary information, i.e., 'what's new' in diagnosis and therapy, accenting personal experiences and individual expertise.
