Dear Colleague,

On behalf of the European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) and as its Honours & Awards Committee chair, I am pleased to announce the following EADV scholarship award, which interested young dermato-venereologists and residents can now apply for:

Jon Stratigos Memorial Scholarship

The European Academy of Dermatology and Venereology (EADV) offers the John Stratigos Memorial Scholarship to one selected applicant of each geographic Southern Europe and from each Mediterranean country to facilitate the attendance at the 23rd EADV Congress in Amsterdam, The Netherlands - 8-12 October 2014.

Every scholarship provides free registration to the EADV Congress and consists of ¤1000 minus the fee of a one year's EADV membership (for the upcoming calendar year) - according to the status of each recipient.

Criteria to be observed when applying for the "John Stratigos Memorial Scholarship":

• Young dermato-venereologists or residents under 35 years of age
• Must not have previously received an EADV scholarship award
• Must have adequate knowledge of the English language

Required documentation below for application to be submitted in English only for the scholarship listed above:

• The completed Scholarship Application Form;
• A CV and a precise list of publications (not more than 3 pages - See "How to prepare my list of publications");
• An up-to-date copy of the applicant's training or specialist certificate;
A letter of support written either by the training director/head of department, hospital or clinic endorsing the application;
• A letter of support written by a 'specialist' EADV member endorsing the application;
• A copy of an ID displaying a passport-size photo.

In order to ensure a smooth evaluation & selection process, please complete the application form and together with the required documentation, which must not exceed 5MB, submit by 15 April, 2014.
